Objective: to identify the professionals' perception regarding family-centered care. Methods: this is a crosssectional descriptive study with 60 professionals from a pediatric intensive care unit. The Brazilian Family-Centered Care Perception instrument was applied. Data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics, Student's t-test and Mann-Whitney test were used to compare variables. Results: the mean of the familycentered perception of care was 2.93 (±0.27), the median of 2.90, a maximum score of 3.50 and minimum of 2.30. Most professionals (60.0%) considered that family-centered care is sometimes practiced. The mean scores did not have statistically significant differences between the characterization variables of the team. Conclusion: perception of care distant from the recommendations of an extended care that aggregate the child and his family. Descriptors: Pediatric Nursing; Child; Family; Critical Care. Objetivo: identificar a percepção dos profissionais com relação ao cuidado centrado na família. Métodos: estudo descritivo transversal com 60 profissionais de uma unidade de terapia intensiva pediátrica e aplicou-se o instrumento Percepção do Cuidado Centrado na Família-Equipe versão brasileira. Os dados foram analisados a partir da estatística descritiva e analítica, utilizou-se o teste t-Student e o teste de Mann-Whitney para comparação entre as variáveis. Resultados: a média do escore de percepção do cuidado centrado na família foi 2,93 (±0,27), mediana de 2,90, escore máximo de 3,50 e mínimo de 2,30. A maioria dos profissionais (60,0%) considerou que o cuidado centrado na família às vezes é praticado. Os escores médios não apresentaram diferenças estatisticamente significantes entre as variáveis de caracterização da equipe. Conclusão: percepção de cuidado distante das recomendações de um cuidado ampliado que agrega a criança e sua família.

Objective: to understand the new meanings that music promotes in the care of children in cardio pediatric surgery postoperative. Methods: qualitative research with professionals of the multi professional health team through a semi-structured interview based on the Content Analysis method. Results: professionals perceived the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a scenario susceptible to deterioration in the quality of care. In addition, they considered that the use of music, as an integrative and complementary therapy, fostered the production of senses in health care, proving it capable of providing relaxation, distraction, well-being, pleasant memories and comfort to professionals and hospitalized children. Conclusion: music contributed to give new meaning to care optimizing humanization and restructuring health promotion processes. The experience provided reflections, skills, emotional expression, sensations and feelings such as relaxation, distraction and well-being in the multi professional team. Child care has been expanded, combining the technological arsenal with concern for comfort and emotional state.

RESUMOObjetivo: analisar a contribuição da comunicação de enfermagem para a segurança do paciente. Método: trata-se de estudo bibliográfico, descritivo, do tipo revisão integrativa, de 2013 a 2017, nas Bases de Dados MEDLINE, LILACS e BDENF. Organizaram-se os resultados em categorias a partir da técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. Resultados: analisaram-se três estudos e se observou a comunicação interprofissional na passagem de plantão permite o registro e fornece informações condizentes a todo o processo de cuidado, propiciando um ambiente de trabalho harmonioso com assistência livre de danos ao paciente. Conclusão: ressalta-se que a comunicação dos profissionais deve fazer parte da cultura de segurança, minimizando os erros ao paciente. Observou-se como desafios, os atrasos dos profissionais, equipe incompleta e falta de tempo. Sugere-se novos estudos de modo a auxiliar os enfermeiros e demais profissionais de saúde na comunicação durante a passagem de plantão. Verifica-se, também, a necessidade de implementar protocolos específicos de passagem de plantão nos serviços com o proposito de melhorar a comunicação entre a equipe e consequentemente, melhorar a seguraça do paciente. Furtehr studies are necessary to assist nurses and other health professionals in communication during the shift change. There is also the need to implement specific protocols of shift change at services with the purpose of improving communication between the team and, consequently, improve the patient safety. Conclusión: cabe destacar que la comunicación de los profesionales debe ser parte de la cultura de la seguridad, minimizando los errores en el paciente. Los desafíos observados fueron los retrasos de los profesionales, equipo incompleto y la falta de tiempo. Se sugiere realizar estudios adicionales para ayudar a los enfermeros y otros profesionales de la salud en la comunicación durante el cambio de turno. También existe la necesidad de implementar protocolos específicos de cambio de turno en los servicios con el fin de mejorar la comunicación entre el equipo y, por lo tanto, mejorar la seguridad del paciente.
