Non-thermal plasma-assisted catalytic CO2 conversion over Zn-TCPP 2D catalyst

Abstract: There is still a growing interest in CO 2 conversion into useful compounds. Plasma technology is a highly promising alternative due to its non-equilibrium nature, crucial for CO 2 dissociation processes. In this study we present, the non-thermal plasma-assisted catalytic CO 2 reduction to CO on 2D Zn-containing paddle wheel structures based on TCPP. The catalytic efficiency of this MOF material is shown to be high. The experimental data from HRTEM, adsorption and FTIR analyses lead to the simplified model mech… Show more

“…The full characteristics of obtained porphyrin based 2D MOFs including elemental and thermogravimetric analysis, SEM, PXRD, SEM, and TEM were presented recently [18,19]. The results of these analyses are consistent with the results presented in the literature [20], and correspond to a 2D chemical structure of PPF.…”

“…Many studies have been devoted to CO 2 conversion by NTP-based technology in recent years including CO 2 dissociation, dry reforming of methane (DRM), and hydrogenation. Several types of NTP reactors were employed for the DRM process including dielectric barrier discharge (DBD), corona discharge, , glow discharge, , and gliding arc. , However, DRM is a highly endothermic process (Δ H 298K = +247 kJ/mol). Meanwhile, the hydrogenation process is limited by the high cost of hydrogen…”

“…The IR spectroscopic studies were carried out in a vacuum cell described previously [ 20 , 26 , 27 , 28 ], and plugged into the vacuum line ( Figure 7 ). For the in situ IR study, ammonia (constant pressure 1.38 Torr) was exposed to a carbon film at 1 kW/m normalized power NTP atmosphere.…”
