Non-stationary thermoelastic stresses in heat-removing elements of the beam dumps in the T-15 tokamak injection system

Abstract

The closed analytical solution to the problem of determining quasi-static thermoelastic stresses in circular cross-sections of heat-removing cooled elements of the beam dumps in T-15-tokamak injection system is given.The generalized analytical representation of a tangential component in the tensor of thermoelastic stresses at the borders of the pipe cross-section is given. It is realized by the nonstationary field temperature distribution in the structural material, produced from the conesponding boundary conditions of heating.The results of comparison between the distributions of a tangential component in the thermoelastic stress at the borders of the most heat-stressed cross-section of a heat-removing pipes of the beam dump in T-15 injector (calculated by the suggested relationships) in the process of heating for 1.5 s. by the ion beam pulse are considered. They are accompanied by the corresponding calculations of the mentioned stresses on the basis of the generally-accepted approximation [I 1 produced from the solution to the stationary heat conduction problem.
