Non-magnetic tight binding disorder effects in the γ sheet of Sr2RuO4.

Abstract: Inspired by the physics of the Miyake - Narikiyo model (MN) for superconductivity in the γ sheet of Sr2RuO4, we set out to investigate numerically the behavior caused by a non-magnetic disorder in the imaginary part of the elastic scattering matrix for an anisotropic tight-binding model. We perform simulations by going from the Unitary to the Born scattering limit, varying the parameter c which is inverse to the strength of the impurity potential. It is found that the unitary and intermedia limits persist for … Show more

“…As noticed firstly in [16] and also by us in [19][20], the gap on the γ sheet is very anisotropic and leaves a tiny gap ∆ γ 0 around four points, (0, ±π) and (±π, 0), but now we state that when |t| | F | there is not such a gap. According to group theory considerations, in this case as in the tiny gap MN model, the imaginary OP has two components which belong to the irreducible representation E 2u of the tetragonal point group D 4h [17].…”

“…), that correspond to a tiny MN interval with only boson quasiparticles and another phase shadowed gray ((Γ >= 0.10 meV).) that mixes both types of quasiparticles, bosons and dressed normal quasiparticles [13,14,39]. The calculation is in the the unitary scattering limit for stoichiometric Sr with point nodes and a tiny gap, the width at zero frequencies will be stronger than for the strontium doped LaCuO ceramic and the previous ground state family of plots for stoichiometry Sr 2 RuO 4 , increasing its zero frequency values and the width of the Wigner probabilistic distributions as a function of the non-magnetic disorder concentration Γ , as can bee seen in Table 3.…”
