Abstract: Background: Red signs are closely related to esophageal variceal bleeding, and, despite improvements in therapy, the mortality rate remains high. “…Rupture of esophageal varices (EVs) is a common and life-threatening complication in patients with liver cirrhosis. The incidence of EVs bleeding is approximately 5%-15% per year, the re-bleeding rate within 6 wk after EVs rupture bleeding is 30% to 40%, and the mortality rate is 15%-25%[ 3 - 5 ].
