Abstract: Subject of our investigations is the spatial distribution of a Newtonian liquid within a partially filled horizontal rotating hollow cylinder in dependence of the variables angular velocity and angular acceleration, cylinder filling and cylinder geometry as well as viscosity of the liquid.
