Non-Complicated Acute Appendicitis in Adults Treated Successfully by Conservative Treatment without Recurrences

S-a înregistrat durata simptomelor, examinarea clinică abdominală, temperatura, markerii inflamatori, rezultatele studiilor imagistice ş… Show more

“…Owing to advances in the field of medicine and dentistry, the present day dentists are faced with a greater proportion of medically compromised patients in their dental practice, and this has been reported by several studies in the literature. [ 1 5 6 7 8 12 13 ] Although university dental curricula worldwide have been incorporating syllabi pertaining to the dental management of the medically compromised patients, there have not been many studies evaluating the outcome of such curriculum changes. [ 11 ] Therefore, the objective of the present study was to evaluate the dental interns’ perception regarding implant placement in medically compromised dental patients.…”

“…While early complications after implant installation can include pain, infection and occasionally neuropathy, systemic conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (DM), osteoporosis, bleeding disorder, and cancer therapy can interfere with implant healing and adversely affect the outcome of implant treatment. [ 8 9 10 ] Current undergraduate curricula in dental schools worldwide have introduced implant training. [ 11 ] Nevertheless, the ability of freshly graduated dentists to diagnose and manage implant patients by themselves is questionable.…”

“…Moreover, exposure to pro-inflammatory cytokines can lead to the induction or upregulation of MET expression in various cell types. In addition, HGF/MET signaling affects numerous immune cells, including mast cells (McCall-Culbreath et al, 2008), DCs (Baek et al, 2012), Langerhans cells (Sagi and Hieronymus, 2018), and neutrophils (Finisguerra et al, 2015).…”

“…In addition, type 1 and/or type 2 conventional DCs (CD8 + DEC205 + cDC1, C11b + DCIR2 + cDC2) may also contribute to peripheral Treg differentiation and/or expansion and hence tolerance, both in homeostasis (17) and in certain autoimmune diseases such as EAE (4,(18)(19)(20). Also, in GvHD, host CD11c + cDCs were shown not to be required for the induction of disease but rather to restrict alloreactive T cell expansion (21).…”
