Abstract:Aircraft manufactures seek light weight, cost effective technologies to reduce cabin noise levels. Customers and regulatory bodies are demanding lower noise levels in the cabin. Composite light weight structures, used to increase fuel efficiently, often increase input acceleration levels due to their relatively high stiffness and low damping. Therefore, noise control solutions must provide additional attenuation to meet the challenges of fuel efficiency and lower cabin noise levels. Aircraft floors are large r… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
