Nodular Hidradenoma

Abstract: This report highlights the salient histologic findings that distinguish nodular hidradenomas from other adnexal tumors and emphasizes the benefit of complete local excision to prevent recurrence of these tumors.

“…NH is found most often in middle-aged adults or the elderly, with a slight predominance in females. It is more common on the head and neck or trunk [1,2]. NH lacks any distinctive clinical attributes but is usually present as a solitary, asymptomatic, well-circumscribed, slowly growing, nodular, cystic or pedunculated lesion measuring in most cases between 0.5 and 3 cm in diameter.…”
