No association between the G196A and C270T polymorphism of the brain-derived neurotrophic factor gene and male infertility

Abstract: Brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) plays important roles in neuronal development and reproductive action. Abnormal expression of BDNF gene has been detected in human sperm and seminal serum. In the present study, we investigated the possible association of G196A and C270T polymorphism of BDNF gene with male infertility.
