Abstract: The activation of Ca2+-permeable N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor channels (NMDARs) is crucial for the development and survival of neurons, but many cancers use NMDAR-mediated signaling as well, enhancing the growth and invasiveness of tumors.
