Abstract: I grew up on the Laucala campus of the University of the South Pacific (USP) as my mother, Joan Teaiwa, worked there as a course developer in extension services from 1980 to 2000, and my elder sister, Teresia Teaiwa, as a lecturer in history/politics from 1994 to 2000.
