Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Sulfur Co‐Doped Hollow Carbon Shell as Superior Metal‐Free Catalyst for Selective Oxidation of Aromatic Alkanes

Abstract: Metal-free heteroatom-doped carbocatalysts with ahigh surface area are desirable for catalytic reactions.Inthis study,w ef ound an efficient strategy to prepare nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur co-doped hollowcarbon shells (denote as NPS-HCS) with as urface area of 1020 m 2 g À1 .U sing ap oly(cyclotriphosphazene-co-4,4'-sulfonyldiphenol) (PZS) shell as carbon source and N, P, S-doping source, and the ZIF-67 core as structural template as well as extra N-doping source, NPS-HCS were obtained with ah igh surface a… Show more

“…In common preparations of template‐induced porous carbons,, the porosity, especially pore size, is determined by the template selection, being difficult to simultaneously enhance both their micro‐ and meso‐ porosity after removing templates. Herein, we provide a new method to prepare porous carbons with enhanced hierarchical micro‐ and meso‐ porosity using POSS‐based porous polymers with two templating moieties: “unaltered POSS” silica and “partially cleaved POSS” quasi‐silica.…”

“…The bands at 2,965 and 2,911 cm −1 can be assigned to the methyne (-CH) groups, and the characteristic absorptions of triazinerings are observed at 1,562 and 1,468 cm −1 [37]. To enrich heteroatom-doping, hyper-crosslinked polymer (PZS [38]) was then coated on the surface of CoCN by in situ polymerization between phosphonitrilic chloridetrimer and 4, 4'-sulfonyldiphenol at the presence of triethylamine. With the PZS coating, the material surface becomes smooth (Fig.…”
