Abstract: Introduction Sickle cell anemia (SCA) is a genetical hemolytic disorder defined as chronic inflammatory disease. Nitrite (NO-2) in SCA (HbSS) patients may be associated with the hemolytic process while fetal hemoglobin (Hb F) presents protective effect in these patients.
