and ethyl chloroformate followed by treatment with sodium to give 0.4 g. of solid, m.p. 60-100°. Recrystallizations from carbon tetrachloride, water, and petroleum ether (b.p. 60-75°) with a trace of benzene gave an analytical sample, m.p. 112-115°.
