Abstract:Photosensitizer-based phototherapies, including photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT), offer safe treatment modalities for tumor ablation with spatiotemporal precision. After photons are absorbed, PDT creates localized chemical damage by generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), while PTT induces localized thermal damage.
