“…This study demonstrates that differences in unintentional injuries differ in important ways between injury mechanism, between populations, and by age. Although racial and ethnic disparities have been previously demonstrated for individual injury mechanisms, our study allows for concurrent assessment of differences across injury mechanisms 4,5,8,17,21–23 . Such a finding provides important hypothesis‐generating information to inform future targeted prevention efforts and the promotion of health equity more broadly.…”
