“…Consequently, the Ni/Ce catalyst has the higher porosity, with the values of BET Surface, pore volume, and pore diameter (159.2 m 2 g −1 , 0.312 cm 3 g −1 and 8.2 nm, respectively) lower than the Ce support due to the partial blockage by Ni [28]. The decrease in the support accessibility after impregnation is also observed for the Ni catalysts supported on CeZr and on LaAl, in accordance with the literature [29][30][31]. For Ni/CeZr catalysts, an increase in the Ni content involves a decrease in surface area and pore volume, but the mean pore diameter increases slightly compared to the support due to the blockage of the pores of lower diameter.…”

“…The average crystal sizes of the as‐synthesized Cu/CZ and Ni/CZ were 22.6 ±1.9 and 19.9±0.9 nm, respectively. The grains of Ni/CZ catalyst are clearly shown by their transparent irregular opaque shape, which is not homogeneous in nature with a dual distribution having mean sizes of 42.9±0.4 and 60.3±0.9 nm, respectively . HR‐TEM images along with the SAED (Figures c and 6 f insects), demonstrates polycrystalline nature of the Cu/CZ and Ni/CZ catalysts.…”

“…Whatever, at reaction temperature higher than 500 o C, all catalysts give 100% ethanol conversion. So, by comparing the catalytic activity of the three catalysts with the catalysts reported in our previous work [5,6], and with those catalysts reported in the literature as the most effective catalysts in ESR reactions like Ni/Ce 0.74 Zr 0.26 O 2 [27][28][29][30], over which C 2 H 5 OH conversion reached about 97% with Ni loading of 30 wt% at 600 o C. We can be concluded that, Co 10 /Ce-La catalyst is an excellent catalyst for ESR reaction. In all the cases the main products are H 2 , CO, CO 2 and CH 4 in addition to small amount of ethylene, acetone and acetaldehyde.…”

“…Nowadays, the only method for hydrogen is natural gas, steam reforming and naphtha, for its use in refineries for clean fuel production along with its use in ammonia production [3,4]. Significant research is underway to produce hydrogen from biorenewable feedstock [5,6].…”
