Abstract:Preeclampsia represents a pregnancy-related disease which affects both the mother and the fetus. It�s an important cause of materno-fetal morbidity and mortality. The placenta seems to be the main cause because after placental removal preeclampsia is no longer present. Placental examination is crucial and can reveal important information about this disease.
