Within the development of Internet and intranets, information integration from various data sources becomes increasingly important and more challenging issue. Recently, the trend in data integration has favored the semantic integration using ontologies. However, the existing ontology-based approaches do not support the aspect of data multi-representations, which is important in the development of multiuser applications. The motivation of this paper is to address a novel semantic integration approach based on ontologies and viewpoints paradigms. This contribution combines the advantages of existing ontology-based integration approaches while avoiding their drawbacks. The proposed integration approach is evaluated using query processing. Profiles are introduced to offer answers to users according to their viewpoints and choices.

This paper shows the problem of multi-source heterogeneous data integration in the audit data storage and access problems. Based on the analyses of existing data integration model, combining with the service-oriented architecture theory, this paper proposes a data center pattern, which is suitable for multi-source heterogeneous data integration model to audit. Furthermore this paper puts forward an incremental based technology to show the problem of synchronization of business audit data integration model, and expounds the data management mode based on Middleware technology.

The database application system (DBAS) is widely used in diverse domains, and plays an extremely important role. However, the growth of organizations invariably leads to creation of multiple heterogeneous DBAS. How to effectively integrate these heterogeneous systems has become a hot spot of integration field. The existing integrated methods are mainly aimed at the layer of database system. For the shortages of those methods, this paper mainly focus on the integration method at the layer of application. This paper analyses DBAS from a new perspective, in which an access control layer is separated from the application layer. A new method called as "invasion" access control is put forward, and a simplified integration method (SIM) of heterogeneous DBAS is put forward based on the access control method. The SIM method provides a fast integration solution of high utilization and simple for heterogeneous DBAS. Finally, an example shows how to apply the SIM method to achieve the integration of heterogeneous DBAS.
