New Subtype of Solar Urticaria?

Abstract: A patient is presented with solar urticaria (SU) with an action spectrum of 285–550 nm. The patient showed a positive passive transfer test and a negative reverse passive transfer test. Since such a type of SU is not described in Harber’s classification, we suggest that this patient shows a new subtype of SU. A combination of UVA/UVB phototherapy proved successful.
