New spherically symmetric wormhole solutions in f(Q)-gravity theory

Sweeti Kiroriwal,
Jitendra Kumar,
S K Maurya
et al.

Abstract: In this study, we examine the new spherically symmetric wormhole solutions in modified symmetric teleparallel (f(Q)) gravity theory. Using the Morris-Thorne method, we construct traversable wormholes with a physically reasonable energy condition and investigate their stability under small perturbations. We discuss two wormhole geometries under the linear functional form of f(Q) with two distinct shape functions. Our results show that the violations of energy conditions in f(Q) gravity provide a viable framewor… Show more

“…In this work, we presented wormhole solutions that satisfy the ECs in the f(Q) theory of gravity. Since the most of the solutions which have been presented before do not respect ECs [69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76][77], our solutions seem to be new and significant.…”

“…Sokoliuk et al have explored the Buchdahl quark stars in the background of f (Q) theory [68]. Recently, wormhole and spherically symmetric configurations have been studied in f (Q) gravity [52,[69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76][77]. In [52], a simple model,…”

“…So, the expedition to explore WH geometries under modified theories of gravity continues in our present work. We have used a similar approach to the ones used in [52,54,55,60] to develop two WH models in ( ) , m   L gravity. For both the models, the energy density ρ is positive throughout the spacetime and NEC in the radial direction is violated.…”

“…This result behaves as the key feature for a stable traversable WH in GR, as well as in alternative gravities [50][51][52][53][54][55][56][57][58]. However, from the perspective of ( ) f  gravity, Kiroriwal et al [60] produced WH geometries by assuming physical form of shape functions which violates NEC in a tangential direction only. In contrast to the works [50,[53][54][55][56], NEC in a tangential direction is violated only for some specified region near the throat of the WH for the WH-I model.…”
