New Schiff bases of 2-(quinolin-8-yloxy)acetohydrazide and their Cu(ii), and Zn(ii) metal complexes: their in vitro antimicrobial potentials and in silico physicochemical and pharmacokinetics properties

Abstract: AbstractThe purpose of this work was to prepare Schiff base ligands containing quinoline moiety and using them for preparing Cu(ii) and Zn(ii) complexes. Four bidentate Schiff base ligands (SL1–SL4) with quinoline hydrazine scaffold and a series of mononuclear Cu(ii) and Zn(ii) complexes were successfully prepared and characterized. The in vitro Show more

“…These low values are an indication of nonelectrolytic nature of the complexes, implying that the anions in solution are within the coordination sphere. [ 41 ] Because the metal complexes are also large molecules, their migration is also limited in solution; hence, the molar conductivities deviate from those of ideal electrolytes. “…The spectra of the chromium complex observed two (428 nm, 608 nm) in Table 3, attributed to the allowed transfer 4 A 2 g → 4 T 1 g (F) and 4 A 2 g → 4 T 1 g (F) respectively [19]. It has been observed that the electron spectrum is complex cobalt(II) low spin octahedral (t 2 g 6 eg 1 ), one permissible transition 500 nm, which is 2 Eg 2 T 2 g (20).…”

“…Heavy metal pollutions are released into the environment by industrial activities affecting the ecosystem. The metal content determination is necessary for controlling purposes because there is an active procedure for simultaneous enrichment and separation species from matrices of various analytical applications and separation procedures [4]. Cloud point extraction has become one of the most popular methods used to separate and enrich metal ions.…”

“…Molecules with 1,2,4-triazole moiety are very strong N-atom donors towards d-metal ions and can be readily deprotonated [7]. There is more focus on developing metal complexes as promising potential therapeutic agents because researchers believe that the coordination of organic molecules with metal ions enhances their biological activity [8][9][10][11].…”
