“…For example, the existence of the Ξ + cc state was once reported by the SELEX collaboration [11,12], but not confirmed by the other experiments [13][14][15][16]. Until very recently, LHCb has eventually found the doubly charmed Ξ ++ cc state at a mass of (3621.40 ± 0.72 ± 0.27 ± 0.14) MeV [4], which is reconstructed as the two-body Ξ ++ cc → Σ ++ c (2455)K * 0 decay with the resonant strong decays of Σ ++…”

“…The lifetime was stated to be shorter than 33 fs at the 90% confidence level, and SELEX concluded that 20% of all Λ þ c baryons observed by the experiment originated from Ξ þ cc decays, implying a relative Ξ cc production rate several orders of magnitude larger than theoretical expectations [11]. Searches from the FOCUS [46], BABAR [47], and Belle [48] experiments did not find evidence for a state with the properties reported by SELEX, and neither did a search at LHCb with data collected in 2011 corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.65 fb −1 [49]. However, because the production environments at these experiments differ from that of SELEX, which studied collisions of a hyperon beam on fixed nuclear targets, these null results do not exclude the original observations.…”

“…The absolute values of the distributions more or less depend on the parameters in Eqs. (5) and (6). The fragmentation functions and/or the parameters can be tuned by comparison to data once they are obtained.…”

“…However, in the following studies of the Λ þ c K − π þ mass spectrum at B factories, both the BABAR Collaboration [3] and the Belle Collaboration [4] have not yet found this resonance. A search performed by the FOCUS Collaboration in the photoproduction process gives no evidence either [5]. Recently, the LHCb Collaboration looked for Ξ þ cc in the decay channel Λ þ c K − π þ in pp collisions and found no signal [6].…”
