Abstract:A new radiophotoluminescence (RPL) dosimeter with a specialized radiation-sensitive surface layer was successfully fabricated from phosphate glass by the melting method. The radiation-sensitive surface layer, which was measured using an excitation laser and a fluorescence microscope, was formed through the thermal diffusion of silver atoms. It was found from RPL observations that the diffusion coefficient of silver atoms in phosphate glass was about 1.4 mm 2 /s at 400 C and activation energy for silver atoms w… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
