Abstract: To meet the urgent need for new antibacterial molecules, a small library of pyrazolyl thioureas (PTUs) was designed, synthesized and tested against difficult-to-treat human pathogens. The prepared derivatives are characterized by a carboxyethyl functionality on C4 and different hydroxyalkyl chains on N1.
