This difference in the shape of humeral head apparently reflects specialization of the flight mechanism in Ornithocheiroidea sensu stricto (excluding Pteranodontidae and Nyctosauridae, which evidently do not belong to that group; Hazlehurst and Rayner, 1992).…”
