“…Both of the tensile strength and the elongation at break of nanocomposites are larger than those of pure PP when the weight fraction of nanofiller is less than or equal to 20 wt %, which proved that ZnO/MoO 3 can improve the strength and toughness of PP. The tensile strength and elongation at break of the PP/ZnO/MoO 3 nanocomposites increased by 4.2 and 184.8%, respectively, compared to those of pure PP with the introduction of 15 wt % ZnO nanowires and 5 wt % MoO 3 nanowires, which is due to strong interfacial interaction and large specific surface area of ZnO/MoO 3 compound . However, the tensile strength and elongation at break gradually decline when the addition amount is more than 20 wt %, meaning that the mechanical performance of nanocomposites deteriorates.…”

“…ZnO nanoparticles were prepared according to other work as follows: Briefly, two solution included; 5.6 g of Zn(NO 3 ) 2 and 4.2 g of (NH 4 ) 2 CO 3 were dissolved in 20 mL of twice distilled and deionized water, separately. The Zn(NO 3 ) 2 solution was added to the (NH 4 ) 2 CO 3 solution with the vigorously stirring.…”
