New low‐density ceramic material for packing fractional distillation columns. II

Abstract: The paper compares the new, spherical, low‐density ceramic material described in Part I with other packing materials having different geometries. The increased separating power of the new material is due to different liquid flow patterns, spreadability, accessible surface area and surface morphology.
