Abstract: In this study, a new l-rhamnose-binding lectin (GYL-R) from the hemolymph of bivalve Glycymeris yessoensis was purified using affinity and ion-exchange chromatography and functionally characterized. Lectin antimicrobial activity was examined in different ways.
