Euphorbia esula L. plants are distributed throughout China and are used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat cancer, swelling, and warts. , A number of diterpenoids with a wide spectrum of bioactivities, including antiproliferative, cytotoxic, skin irritating, tumor promoting, antiviral, and antibacterial effects ,− have previously been isolated from this species. In a continuing search for novel bioactive compounds from the genus Euphorbia , , 16 new diterpenoids ( 1 – 16 ) and six known analogues were identified from extracts of the twigs of E. esula .…”
