New insights into the radial structural differences of polyacrylonitrile fibres during thermal stabilization by the synchronous processing adjustment of time and temperature

Abstract: PAN chains in skin regions of the stabilized fibres are highly different from those in the core regions. Although stabilized PAN fibres may have equal densities, the performances of the resultant carbon fibres may be disparate.
