New fluorescein dye derivatives and their use as an efficient photoiniator using blue light LED

Abstract: Graphical abstractThis work shown synthesis of dimethacrylate polymers using a new fluorescein dye derivatives by blue light LED. The thermal characterization was made by TG-DTA, conversion degree was obtained by MIR and DSC, and morphological aspects was obtained by SEM. Highlights New fluorescein dyes derivatives was used to inititors in photopolymerization. The chlorinated dyes showed higher conversions. Brominated dyes showed good radical stabilization and low conversion. AbstractThis work investigates … Show more

“…In summary, the quinoline dyes (photoinitiator) do not cause different thermal behavior in these polymers such as mass loss steps, MDR, and thermal stability. These results are similar to UDMA polymers with different photoinitiator that were previously reported in literature . Table distil the data of TG‐DTA curve from all samples.…”

“…As other polymer samples, no thermal events were observed in the cooling stages. The thermal events in DSC are similar to those previously reported in literature that used other photoinitiators, which indicate that the quinoline derivative photoinitiator does not interfere in the thermal properties.…”
