“…Different methods intended to a single matrix have been described in literature (Bailac et al 2006;Clemente et al 2006;Rubies et al 2007;Shen et al 2008;Gajda et al 2012), even if the recoveries were usually equal to or lower than the values reported in our study.…”

“…First of all, it allowed to apply the same sample preparation to two different matrices (muscle and eggs), whereas other methods (Bailac et al 2006;Gajda et al 2012) were carried out only for one matrix. Table 8.…”

“…It has proven to be successful for the extraction of quinolones in several matrixes such as soil [25], eggs [26], and feeds [27] using in all cases, a mixture of ACN and an aqueous acid as extraction solvent, applying always HPLC as analytical technique. In this paper, we have evaluated the use of dichloromethane in PLE to extract quinolone antibiotics in chicken muscle in order to have extracts more CE compatible, considering that this solvent produces very clean extracts using other extraction methodologies [28]. In our case, this is an important requirement in order to obtain successful results in the application of the AC to real samples, otherwise the matrix components could affect the retention of the analytes in MCX beads and therefore the sensitivity would be worse.…”
