“…At room temperature the excitation and emission spectra of GGAG:Ce with doping concentrations of 4, 2 and 0.5 mol% were obtained as in figures 7(a) and (b). The emission spectra were measured at excitation of 450 nm a broad emission band was observed ranging from 450 to 700 nm, They were determined to be electron transitions from the Ce 3+ ion which related to the 5d 1 to 4 f ( 2 F 5/2 and 2 F 7/2 ) transitions [25].
