Dr Mark Ravitch, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Current Problems in Surgery wrote in his forward to Professor Balasegaram’s treatise on liver abscess (1) that “Professor Balasegaram, as his monograph shows, has extraordinary experience with abscesses of the liver, both pyogenic and amebic.…”
