New compact planar wideband antenna with flat gain and good pattern stability

Abstract: A new planar compact wideband dipole antenna with new feed structure is presented. The wideband operation of the proposed antenna is interpreted and a closed form formula for its design process is extracted. Then, three cases of the proposed antenna is designed and simulated to verify the extracted formula. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 58:2548–2554, 2016
