The effect of Ag content on the linear and nonlinear optical characteristics of thermal evaporated Se90−xTe10Agx thin films, 100 nm thick, (where x = 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 at.%) has been examined. The optical measurements were reviewed in the wavelength range of 390–2500 nm based on the transmittance and reflectance data, and the amorphous state of the as-prepared thin film was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, bandgap, optical density, optical conductivity, dissipation factor, and other optical properties were examined and discussed. For all of the samples, the extinction coefficient of Se90−xTe10Agx declines as the wavelength and Ag concentration rise, whereas the absorption coefficient increases linearly with incident photon energy. Furthermore, the optical bandgap and the width of localized states alter in the exact opposite direction, which is consistent with previously reported findings. The decrease in the optical band gap as Ag concentration increases could be attributable to an increase in the amount of disorder in the materials and the density of defect states. Other critical optoelectronic characteristics are also determined, and they are found to be influenced by the Ag ratio and photon wavelength. These materials may be ideal for optical memory applications due to their high absorption coefficient and compositional dependence of absorption.

In the thermal analysis of many energetic compounds, there is a phenomenon of melting before decomposition, and the melting endothermic process is masked by the subsequent rapid exothermic decomposition, which has affected the research of separation in melting and thermal decomposition processes. 2-oximemalononitrile, an energetic intermediate whose melting and decomposition processes had the overlapping, was used as the research object in this paper, and the complete melting and decomposition processes were acquired by MATLAB software, separately. In addition, the kinetics and mechanism of thermal decomposition of 2-oximemalononitrile were investigated by Málek method, which was used as guidance for the safe application in handling, processing, and storage.

No hay un procedimiento normalizado para calcular la integral de temperatura generalizada, en lugar de eso, cantidades de aproximaciones distintas de ella son aplicadas en el procesamiento de datos de análisis termogravimétrico. Este trabajo presenta un procedimiento de integración basado en la regla de Simpson que genera valores exactos de la integral de temperatura generalizada. También se realiza una revisión de las representaciones en series de potencias disponibles para la integral de temperatura, y se presenta la conversión de su forma generalizada a la forma de las funciones especiales. De la comparación con los valores exactos obtenidos por integración se concluyó que para valores de interés práctico de los argumentos, el mejor cálculo de la integral generalizada de temperatura se obtiene con la función gama incompleta.
