Neutron Powder Diffraction Study of the Crystal Structures of ZrAu.

Abstract

Structure Structure D 2000Neutron Powder Diffraction Study of the Crystal Structures of ZrAu. -Two structural transitions are detected for the title compound in the temperature range 300-1273 K. ZrAu crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 at room temperature and transforms to a monoclinic structure (space group P2/m) at about 670 K. Above 840 K, ZrAu adopts a tetragonal structure (P4/mmm) which is closely related to the A2-type structure. -(MOREAU, J. M.; ISA, M.; CHAOU, A.
