Neutrino spin oscillations in conformally gravity coupling models and quintessence surrounding a black hole

Leonardo Mastrototaro,
Gaetano Lambiase

Abstract: In this paper, we study the spin transitions of neutrinos caused by the interaction with a gravitational field. We consider a model with a scalar field (describing screening effects) conformally coupled to matter and neutrinos. The presence of screening effects suppresses the neutrino spin-flip probability as compared with General Relativity predictions. Such a result could be used, combined with neutrino astronomy, for testing modified theories of gravity and, in turn, screening effects invoked to bypass the … Show more

“…Moreover, we can discuss the effects of gravitational redshift of the considered metric on the energy spectra of ν e and νe Type II supernova explosion. The gravitational effects affect the r-process nucleosynthesis in astrophysical environments, and we might theoretically estimate that with the Y e parameter [212][213][214][215]:…”

“…For example, neutrino flavor oscillations in stochastic gravitational waves have been studied in [4], while neutrino decoherence from quantum gravitational stochastic perturbations has been studied in [5]. Effects like spin-flip or helicity transitions are also studied in a gravitational setup [6][7][8][9]. Further, the gravitational effects on neutrino oscillations have been investigated in various backgrounds [10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17].…”

“…Interaction of neutrinos with a scalar field and also its cosmological impacts has been studied vastly in the literature [34][35][36][37][38]. Interaction of a scalar field and neutrinos through a conformal coupling and its influence on the neutrinos densities and their oscillation phases were discussed in [28][29][30][31]. This kind of conformal couplings has also been used to describe the onset of the late cosmic acceleration when the neutrinos became nonrealistic [39,40], as well as to describe an early cosmic acceleration in the matter-radiation equality epoch to solve the Hubble tension problem [41].…”
