Neutrino oscillation phenomenology in the standard model and beyond

Abstract: Neutrino oscillations are a quantum mechanical phenomenon analogous to the oscillation of kaons K 0 −K 0 introduced in the 1950s by Pontecorvo [17,18]. Orig-9 We use Eq. (36) of Ref. [35] since Eq. (38) behaves poorly for large values of θ13. 10 In Ref. [35]Ĉ = C13 is used and there is a typo wherein cos θ 2 13 is written instead of cos 2 θ13.

“…where L is the distance which the neutral fermion has propagated, E is the mean energy for neutral fermion, ℜ (ℑ) indicates the real (imaginary) part, and ∆m 2 ij ≡ m 2 i − m 2 j . This result is exactly the same as the previous ones [19][20][21][22]. Neutrinos in SM are the most interesting neutral fermions that have been found in experiments.…”

“…This gives us a hint that probably NH is much more preferential than IH. The recent data analyses of atmospheric, LBL, and reactor [54], also suggests that 3σ is in favour of NH. However the new experimental data from T2K, NOvA and Super-K atmospheric are most likely to reduce the preference for NH and might shift the preference for the δ CP phase, and Octant of θ 23 , which currently seems to be shifted in the second octant after combining the data of LBL, LBL+ATM, LBL+REAC, Global with atmospheric [55].…”
