Neutrino Interactions with Matter by a New Neutrino Source From the Isotope Radioactive Decay Produced by the Proton Accelerator

Abstract: A new neutrino source for future's neutrino experiments is suggested in this work. Unstable isotope, 27 Si, can be produced when 27 Al target is bombarded by 15 MeV proton beams. Through the decay of the 27 Si, a new electron-neutrino source in the 0 ∼ 5.0 MeV energy range is obtained. Production of the neutrino source is studied by using GEANT4 code with JENDL-4.0/HE.
