Abstract:Rotenone (RTN) induces neurotoxic and motor impairments in rats that parallel pathophysiological features of Parkinson's disease (PD), such as striatal oxidative and nitrosative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and alterations in neural cytoarchitecture, making RTN a useful model for studying PD.
