It stands especially by showing biological activity associated with its extracts and essential oil such as emmnagogic, abortifacient, anthelmintic and spasmolytic effects (Di Stasi et al, 2002), biting deterrence (Ali et al, 2013), repellent activity (Ali et al, 2013;Conti et al, 2013), insecticidal activity (Megally et al, 2009;Ali et al, 2013;Conti et al, 2013), antifeedant activity (Megally et al, 2009) and for its depressant activity on the central nervous system (Gonzalez-Trujano et al, 2006). The leaves and young stems of R. chalepensis contain alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, amino acids, furocoumarins and saponins (Hnatyszyn et al, 1974).…”
