“…To address this question, we employed the adeno-associated virus 8 (AAV8) expressing the Gi-coupled Designer Receptor Exclusively Activated by Designer Drugs (DREADD) hM4Di under the control of the human synapsin promoter to target expression to neurons (AAV-hSn-hM4D(Gi)-mCherry).
