Neuro-Fuzzy Wavelet Based Adaptive MPPT Algorithm for Photovoltaic Systems

Abstract: An intelligent control of photovoltaics is necessary to ensure fast response and high efficiency under different weather conditions. This is often arduous to accomplish using traditional linear controllers, as photovoltaic systems are nonlinear and contain several uncertainties. Based on the analysis of the existing literature of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques, a high performance neuro-fuzzy indirect wavelet-based adaptive MPPT control is developed in this work. The proposed controller combines… Show more

“…Sunntech STb134.12/Tp represented the PV and its technical data is showing in table 2. Six PV modules connected in series formed the PV array which its total capacity is 810 W. The 105v DC input voltage was stepped down to 48v to fit the battery voltage level using a buck converter [11][12][13][14].…”

“…Considering the abovementioned, various looks into have been completed utilizing conventional calculations for the displaying and usage of MPPT controllers [5], of which coming up next are featured: bother plus watch (P&O) [6], [7], adjusted P&O [8], [9], fragmentary short out current [10], partial open circuit voltage [11], sliding mode control [12], [13] and gradual conductance [14]. The P&O calculation has been utilized generally, yet it has been demonstrated that this strategy has issues for following the MPP when there are unexpected change within sun powered irradiance [15].…”

“…Also, algorithms based on artificial intelligence techniques such as fuzzy logic [13][14][15][16][17][18][19] and neural networks [20][21][22] have been used, as well as the implementation of optimization algorithms such as glowworm swarm [23], ant colony [24,25] and bee colony [26][27][28]. These algorithms are part of soft computing techniques and have the advantage of being easily implemented using embedded systems.…”
