Neural-Network-Based Output-Feedback Control Under Round-Robin Scheduling Protocols

Abstract: The neural-network (NN)-based output-feedback control is considered for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems under round-Robin (RR) scheduling protocols. For the purpose of effectively mitigating data congestions and saving energies, the RR protocols are implemented and the resulting nonlinear systems become the so-called protocol-induced periodic ones. Taking such a periodic characteristic into account, an NN-based observer is first proposed to reconstruct the system states where a novel adaptive tuning la… Show more

“…Up to now, we complete the design of fusion weighting matrices and disclose the estimation performance before and after fusion. It is not difficult to see that the optimal weighting matrices Ω i (t) depends on Σ(t) in (25), which can be calculated via (28), (33), and (34). Based on Theorem 1, the computation procedures for FEx(t) are summarized in the following algorithm.…”

“…Finally, a simulation example has also been given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed filter algorithm. Some future research directions will be focused on the extension of the established approach to switched systems, nonlinear systems, complex/neural networks, and the application of the obtained results on fault/spammer detection …”

“…With the rapid development of network communication technology, sensor networks have recently gained a notable popularity in industrial applications as well as an ever-increasing interest from research communities. [1][2][3][4][5] A typical sensor network possesses numerous sensor nodes that are capable of sensing, computing, and communication in a certain spatial region. It is worth mentioning that sensors could collaborate with their neighbors to fulfill specific tasks in a distributed setting.…”

“…In order to ease the communication burden, reducing the communication frequency is requisite in ensuring the communication quality. In this regard, a natural yet efficient way is used, which is a scheduling strategy to determine whether the data need to be transmitted or not . Consequently, the event‐based transmission has emerged at the right moment .…”
