Abstract:Semantic processing is the ultimate goal of language communication. Chinese characters and Japanese kanji both contain semantic clues in their semantic radicals, However, as Japanese is learned phonologically instead of morphologically nowadays, these clues may be more conducive to Chinese comprehension.
