Pneumonia is the main cause of infant mortality in Peru, which has led to plansfig, such as vaccination campaigns, greater economic investment in health, and the strengthening of specialized medical personnel, however, mortality rates remain high. In this sense, the implementation of new computer technologies such as Deep Learning through the use of the artificial neural network is proposed. The objective of this project was to determine the influence of a mobile application based on a Convolutional Neural Network for the diagnosis of Pneumonia, the project consists of the analysis of images of Chest X-rays with Pneumonia and Normal by means of an application developed called "Diagnost". The study was carried out considering a control group and a study group formed by 33 medical staff members who used the application. The analysis of the data obtained was made based on the study of 3 indicators, detection time, result in accuracy, and reduction of medical assistance. According to the results, it was concluded that the mobile application based on the convolutional neural network allows the early detection of Pneumonia and allows the reduction of medical assistance, however, it is still necessary to continue working on the accuracy of the diagnosis.

Introducción: Una de las principales causas de muerte por infecciones respiratorias es la neumonía adquirida en la comunidad, esta enfermedad afecta de forma habitual a los lactantes por su débil sistema inmunológico. En la actualidad no existe estadística exacta que indique la prevalencia de esta enfermedad en Latinoamérica, por lo que este trabajo tiene la finalidad de buscar información con respecto a la problemática. Objetivos: Realizar una revisión bibliográfica sistemática sobre la prevalencia de la neumonía en pacientes pediátricos en Latinoamérica durante el periodo 2017-2022, con la finalidad de identificar los factores etiológicos inmiscuidos para el desarrollo de la neumonía, los tipos de neumonía, el cuadro clínico, la inmunización preventiva y las posibles intervenciones para el manejo de la enfermedad. Metodología: En este apartado se ha seguido el método PRISMA con el fin de encontrar artículos que cumplan con los estándares requeridos. Las bases de datos utilizadas fueron: Scopus, Web of Science o Springer; bases de datos regionales como Redalyc y Scielo. Resultados: La neumonía en pacientes pediátricos de Latinoamérica inciden como factor primordial por su prevalencia debido a que, en países como Cuba, el 37,5% de las neumonías ocasionan mayor impacto dentro de los pacientes pediátricos de una edad inferior a 5 años del sexo masculino al igual que en el Ecuador con un 53,6%, se detectó que factores asociados a esta patología se encuentran los factores etiológicos y de riesgos los cuales se encuentran inmersos por la asepsia de la ventilación, la vulnerabilidad en el sistema inmunológico, etc. Así mismo, el 81,6% de las neumonías se dan por origen viral y el 32,14% por nosocomiales, por último, la vacuna establece mejorar la inmunización y reducir la mortalidad entre un 20% a 47% de la población pediátrica en Latinoamérica. Conclusión: Es prevalente la neumonía en pacientes pediátricos de Latinoamérica en países como; Chile, Uruguay, Perú, y Ecuador. De esta manera, se ha establecido que los factores de riesgo como la desnutrición, la prematurez e infecciones, hacen vulnerables a los niños, frente a agentes como streptococcus neumoniae y enterobacter cloacae, desarrollando una clínica comúnmente basada en secreciones traqueales, hipertermia, y disnea. Finalmente, la inmunización es el parámetro preventivo de la neumonía.
