Neufassung der Empfehlung Nr. 1 des Arbeitskreises “Versuchstechnik Fels” der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geotechnik e. V.: Einaxiale Druckversuche an zylindrischen Gesteinsprüfkörpern

Abstract: Der Arbeitskreis AK 3.3 “Versuchstechnik Fels” der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geotechnik e. Show more

“…Elastic properties are derived from laboratory tests (Draebing & Krautblatter, 2012) and complement modeled CD ice to calculate ice pressures σ ice (Jia et al, 2017) and ice stress intensity factors K ice (Jia et al, 2017;Tharp, 1987). Rock strength parameters are quantified in the lab (Chang et al, 2002;Lepique, 2008;Mutschler, 2004) on the tested rock samples (AP and AM) or rock samples from same lithology (QS and MS) to evaluate cracking efficacy of applied tests (see Texts S2-S4).…”

“…For calculations of porosity Φ, measurements of bulk density ρ d and of grain density ρ s via pycnometer were done. Static geomechanical parameters were determined by uniaxial and triaxial compressive as well as Brazilian disc tensile strength test series according to ISRM and DGGT suggested methods [9,10]. Mode I fracture toughness was determined using the Chevron notched three-point bending test according to [9].…”

“…A second uniaxial compression test was performed according to Mutschler (2004) with constant loading until failure without PTFE plates. From the number of AE events different stages of crack development could be determined (Fig.…”

“…81.1). Samples were prepared for testing with a diameter of 8 cm and a length to diameter ratio of 2:1 (Mutschler 2004). Uniaxial loading was applied under servo-control at a constant velocity rate of 0.1 mm/min.…”
